Publishing

Publishing is a long game. When I first wrote THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE, my youngest child was 6. I dreamed of reading it in her elementary school and sharing it with my friends with small children. But, publishing takes time.

So when THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE is ready for the world, my youngest child will be out of elementary school. Sort of crazy to think about right?

I am so grateful that this book will be published ever at all, and for the amazing team that is making that possible. I have seen some of the illustrations, and let me tell you, this book is going to be GORGEOUS! It just takes time, like most things do.

So, I’m learning patience and perseverance in the publishing world. And it’s funny, at least two of my new manuscripts are about waiting. Afterall, art reflects life, right? So much of my writing begins as a way to process my own thoughts and feelings.

I can’t WAIT to share this book with you! Thank you for being patient with me.

In the meantime, I’m so grateful to bring LUCAS PLAYS into classrooms now. It really is the most fun. (There’s more info on that on my School Visits page).
